Tour through the center's surroundings.

Three different audio tours lead through the permanent exhibitions "Forced Labour in the Daily Round 1938-1945" and "Between two Stools. The history of Italian military internees 1943 - 1945, as well as on the exterior of the former forced labour camp, are available in seven languages: German, English, French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian and Russian.

Accompanying the exhibitions, the listening guides provide deepening explanations, e.g. individual object stories and background information on historical photographs. At many stations, the shown is linked with the experiences of former forced labourers and their biographies.

Visitors can also use the multimedia guide to explore the surroundings of the documentation centre. The 1-hour-long tour takes you to the outside, the surrounding streets and up to the river bank of the Spree in Schöneweide. The route of the tour is displayed on a map on the touch screen. At 10 locations, the multimedia guide, explains the history of the historical site 
using sound and images. The memories of Ugo Brilli provide a personal insight into the camp history. Ugo Brilli, a former Italian military officer, was housed in the Schöneweide camp from November 1944 until the end of the war in 1945.
